Summer Garden 2014

No big projects at the moment, so thought I'd share some of our garden pictures!

Always Something to Do on an Old House

Our big project is officially over but there's always something to do on an older house, or any house for that matter!  So this week we painted the walls in our piano/art studio room (the room through which you enter our house from the front door) and then had a new floor installed by carpenter Justin Souza. The old carpet was torn out, then the floor was leveled to fix a 2.5 inch slope from the front of the room to the back.  The same pre-finished hardwood oak flooring that we put in addition/renovation rooms was installed here. The floor was completed in only 2 days from start to finish!

First Woodstove Fire

Today Matt lit the very first fire in our new wood stove.  The pictures don't do it justice. It looks really pretty and is very warm. Bring it on, winter!!

The Corgi House Officially COMPLETE!

This week we had our final inspection and passed which means the Corgi House Project is officially completed!

We started planning in January, broke ground in April, and finished with all remaining inspections this past week. We are happy with the results and have learned a lot.

Here are some before & after pictures as well as some pics of the new areas that there are no "before" pictures to compare. (The original before pics are on one of our first blog entries back in April.)
