New Window Boxes!!

I'm very excited about my new window boxes that went up today! We bought the boxes and brackets at the Mill Store in New Bedford and primed and painted them to match our trim color.

Jane Howland of Howland's Greenhouse on Alden Road in Fairhaven selected just the right plants for the sunnier side and the shadier side:
Sunny side: vinca, salmon geraniums, lime green sweet potato vine, lavender lace cuphea
Shady side: wire vine, pink dragon wing begonias, kosmo celosia

After the holes were drilled in the bottom, we lined them with polyfil batting for lightweight drainage and filled them with plants. We can keep them watered right through the window since they are pretty high up!
