A New Driveway

Most of the work is done on our house and we are waiting for numerous inspections that will have to take place to finalize the project. We have been able to finally cook in our new kitchen and that has been really enjoyable with lots of rooms and everything organized. We still have some odds and ends and touch up things to do...

Today Shawn Guillotte of Ron Guillotte & Sons in Fairhaven began work on our new cement drive and walk. After the foundation was dug and backfilled last spring, we realized we would have to do something with the driveway area which is now in front of the addition. (It used to run along the side of the house up to the back door of the kitchen, and it was all riverbed stones and gravel.) The new driveway will be 4 feet wider and a walk will wind along the side of the addition to the back door.

This is a view of where the walkway will be poured from near the back of the addition.
The driveway is getting dug and leveled...
